We are a growing firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys and recruit regularly
We have two live vacancies:
(1) Qualified UK Trade Mark Attorney
We would like to hire a qualified Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to work in and further develop our trade mark practice. We are looking for candidates who are fully qualified, with excellent communication and legal skills, and who have a detailed and practical understanding of the way in which trade marks fit into a business context. The role will involve taking over management of existing portfolios, working with new clients and developing the firm's trade mark practice. Long-term prospects are excellent as we seek to develop a larger trade mark department. Our culture is welcoming, collaborative and ambitious, with a focus on working well together to achieve the excellent outcomes expected by our clients.
Our preference is for this role to be delivered from our Edinburgh office, once office working resumes, although we are very well set up for remote and flexible working, which we had embraced even before the current pandemic, and so it would be sufficient to be able to attend client meetings in Edinburgh when required. We would also consider Liverpool as a base. We would consider a flexible working arrangement, including a reduced working day, for the right candidate.
(2) Chemical Patent Attorney
We would like to hire a recently qualified or final-standard trainee patent attorney to work with Robert Gregory in our chemistry group. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent written and oral communication skills and an attention to detail. Long term prospects are excellent as the firm continues to grow. We currently have offices in Liverpool or Edinburgh, and are very well set up for remote and flexible working, which we had embraced even before the current pandemic.
Candidates who have a contractual obligation to repay training costs should be reassured that we are likely to be prepared to meet such debts for the right individual.
Please apply by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with CV and covering letter, or contact Alistair Hindle (trade mark attorney position) or Robert Gregory (patent position). All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Although we are not currently advertising further vacancies, we do review, and seriously consider, speculative applications which we receive. Speculative applications may be sent to email@example.com with CV and covering letter. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
We occasionally advertise traineeships for new entrants to the profession. When this occurs, we publish the application deadline on this website and on IP Careers and we recommend signing up to their email list.
