Hindles opens new Liverpool office

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Liverpool.

The new office opening adds a geographical dimension to our expansion. Whilst our business is international, it is also important to us to maintain a strong focus on our domestic client base. We already work with several clients in Merseyside and the north west of England, and the opening of our Liverpool office will enable us to better service the needs of those clients, and fits with one of our growth strategies of expanding the work we do for direct UK clients.

Liverpool and the north west have a proud history of innovation and industrialisation, and are home to many companies and universities carrying out ground-breaking research and development and generating valuable intellectual property. We are excited at the prospect of working with more of these clients on intellectual property issues including patent, design and trade mark matters.

The office will be headed by Dr Robert Gregory, who has many years’ experience of working with clients in the region. We are able to handle all technical and legal areas of IP including inventions in the chemistry, physics, engineering and life science areas, and designs and trade marks. We have particular strengths in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, attacking or defending patents or patent applications (including in oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office), providing advice on patent matters, assessing IP portfolios, providing opinions on infringement and validity, IP due diligence analysis, providing guidance on and coordination of international strategies, and advising in relation to contentious matters.

If you’d like to discuss an IP matter please contact us.
