A registered design is a form of intellectual property right which provides you with an exclusive right to make or sell your design.
Registered designs are territorial rights and only provide protection in the region (one or multiple countries) in which they apply. We commonly seek registered design protection in UK, Europe, US, China and many other countries on behalf of our clients.
To obtain a registered design, it is necessary to file a registered design application including one or more images of your design. In some cases, multiple similar designs can be included in the same registered design application; this is known as a multiple design application.
